According to the Lynchburg Police Department, officers were dispatched just before 2:30 a.m. to the 700 block of Jackson Street after receiving reports of multiple gunshots in the area. When officers arrived, they worked quickly to secure the scene and canvass the surrounding neighborhood for potential victims, relying in part on information provided by family members.
